Process & methodology

How a survey-grade drone project runs.

Every drone engagement follows the same six-step methodology. Documented, repeatable, and ready for client or third-party audit at any step.

  1. Step 01

    Site recce & mission planning

    We assess terrain, identify no-fly constraints, plan flight lines and ground control point (GCP) layout for your accuracy target.

  2. Step 02

    GCP placement & DGPS observation

    Permanent or temporary GCPs placed and observed with CHC i70 GNSS — the foundation of your accuracy claim.

  3. Step 03

    Drone flight with PPK

    Multiple flight lines with overlap >75%, PPK base running continuously. Up to 700 acres covered in a single field day.

  4. Step 04

    Photogrammetric processing

    Agisoft Metashape generates orthomosaic, DSM and dense point cloud. PPK trajectory corrects image positions to centimetre accuracy.

  5. Step 05

    Volumetric & GIS analysis

    Stockpile volumes, surface differencing, contour generation and L-section extraction performed in Global Mapper and CAD.

  6. Step 06

    Verified delivery

    Independent ground verification at check points. Final deliverables in your CAD spec, with a methodology and accuracy report.
